As most eager soon-to-be mamas, I found myself perusing the aisles of Hobby Lobby searching for decor that would go into my soon-to-be nursery. I love decorating, so when I received the green light to start decorating, I couldn't go shopping any faster. As I wandered through the aisles, my goal was to find some wall decor. Well, let me just tell you, the word signs got me.
"For this child I have prayed."
"You have filled my heart with greater joy." -Psalm 4:7
And this one...
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9
Now you see, I don't often find myself crying in Hobby Lobby. But when I read those words, all I thought about were those sweet kids coming into my home. I have being praying daily for the kids we get to love and their precious hearts to know they are safe and cared for. Also, I know without having yet experienced it, that they will fill my heart with great overwhelming joy. And lastly, these kids will most certainly need to be so strong and so courageous. Can you imagine? Even the three day old babies are going through more trauma than I can imagine. And to think that God is with them wherever they go. I'm so glad. So even if they aren't in our home for very long, they aren't forgotten or alone.
...Give me a second while I cry all over again...
I didn't buy any of those signs that day. I barely even held it together to read them. However, I landed on this sign.

These precious children are so unbelievably loved. I hope they will always know that.
